Amarox Limited, Sertraline 100mg film-coated tablets recall

Class 2 medicines recall: The MHRA has published a Class 2 medicines recall for Sertraline 100mg film-coated tablets.

Amarox Limited is recalling one batch of sertraline 100 mg film-coated tablets as a precautionary measure due to an error at the manufacturing site. Please note this is a Class 2 Patient, Pharmacy and Wholesaler level recall.

Amarox Limited has received one complaint to date, where it was identified that a pack of sertraline 100 mg film-coated tablets contained one blister strip of citalopram 40 mg film-coated tablets inside the sealed carton.

Pharmacists are advised to stop supplying the affected batch of sertraline 100 mg film-coated tablets immediately. Quarantine all remaining stock and return it to your supplier using your approved returns process. There is further advice for actions to take to contact patients where batch traceability is or is not available.
