Evolving Threads – East and South East Asian Heritage Month 2026
Wednesday 16 September 2026, 7pm – 8.30pm
Online via Zoom

One year on from our first event, we are excited to be celebrating East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) Heritage Month again this year.

September is ESEA Heritage Month, the aim being to celebrate and honour people of East and Southeast Asian heritage and their culture, history and everything in between. Founded by Britain’s East and Southeast Asian Network, it is a time to pause and reflect on the diverse lived experiences of ESEA people.

This year’s theme, Evolving Threads, is about honouring the ways in which our stories, actions and solidarities are continuously woven together across time, place and community.

Learning objectives

  • Recognise and celebrate the contributions, achievements and impact of East and Southeast Asian pharmacy professionals.
  • Explore the role of community, culture and heritage in influencing professional identity, wellbeing and leadership within pharmacy.
  • Examine the impact of health inequalities and structural barriers on East and Southeast Asian communities and identify opportunities for pharmacy professionals to promote equitable and culturally responsive care.
  • Identify practical actions that individuals, teams and organisations can take to foster inclusion, belonging and equity across the pharmacy workforce and the communities it serves.

Whether you identify as East Asian or Southeast Asian, are part of a wider ethnically diverse community, or simply want to learn, reflect and connect, this event is for you. Join us to celebrate our communities and strengthen our commitment to a more inclusive future for pharmacy.
