Our focus on education and credentialing: a message from the President of RCPharm
A message from the President
Royal College of Pharmacy President Tase Oputu reflects on a significant moment for pharmacy and the College’s focus on education, professional development and credentialing.
This year, for the first time, most newly qualified pharmacists are qualifying as prescribers – a major milestone for the profession and a clear sign of how far pharmacy has come.
Education and continuing professional development are central to the College’s work, not only for those newly qualified, but for pharmacists at every career stage. As practice evolves, with new medicines, changes across the health system and innovations such as artificial intelligence reshaping how we work, the College is strengthening its education, credentialing and professional support offer for pharmacists across all sectors.
In her message, Tase outlines why education and credentialing are so important to the future of pharmacy, how the College is supporting members at every career stage, and how members can help shape the future direction of their royal college.
