We brought pharmacy professionals together on 26 March 2026 for our annual free International Women’s Day event, held at RPS in London, and online.
The event explored this year’s theme, ‘Give to Gain’, highlighting how generosity, collaboration and support can drive personal and professional growth across the pharmacy workforce.
A dynamic programme of interactive and reflective sessions encouraged participants to examine ambition, connection and collective action. This included a ‘Vision Board for Ambition and Impact’ workshop, where women explored their long-term goals and considered barriers such as gender pay gaps, career progression challenges and balancing family life.
Speakers at the ‘Sponsorship in Action: Turning Generosity into Career Mobility’ panel shared insights on allyship and using professional influence to create opportunities for others. The discussion emphasised how inclusive leadership and collaboration can strengthen teams and improve patient care.
The afternoon concluded with a networking reception, giving attendees the opportunity to build connections and continue conversations sparked throughout the event.
The event was delivered in collaboration with Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK (APTUK), British Pharmaceutical Students Association (BPSA), Guild of Healthcare Pharmacists (GHP), Female Pharmacy Leaders Network, Pharmacy Technicians of Colour (PToC), Pharmacy Business Magazine and the UK Black Pharmacist Association (UKBPA).
