Vicky Taylor

Director of shared services

Vicky is an experienced strategic people leader and a fellow of the CIPD (FCIPD). 

Her career spans senior roles across commercial and not-for-profit organisations, including the Institute of Directors and the Institution of Civil Engineers, alongside several years as a strategic HR consultant.  

Across her career, she has built high-performing teams, led organisational transformation, and championed inclusive, values-driven cultures. Her pragmatic and partnership-oriented leadership style is centred on empowering others and creating sustainable organisational impact. 

Vicky first joined the organisation in 2020 as interim people director covering a maternity leave, and after this as a consultant through until 2023. She rejoined again as interim people director in 2025 to support the organisation through its transition to become the Royal College of Pharmacy (the College) and was appointed to director of shared services in 2026.  Her deep understanding of the organisation and broad expertise have been instrumental throughout this period of change. 

A collaborative, inclusive and solutions-focused leader, Vicky oversees the College’s people and shared services portfolio, encompassing people, legal, facilities, compliance and risk, and administration. 

Vicky is particularly passionate about shaping exceptional employee experiences, fostering inclusive leadership, and creating supportive workplaces where people feel connected to a meaningful purpose.
