Sarah Baig is progressive pharmacy leader committed to shaping a confident, future-ready profession through innovation, education, and system-wide impact. 

Sarah is a clinical pharmacist, independent prescriber, and Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham, working at the forefront of clinical practice, education, and integrated care leadership. Her career has been driven by a clear purpose: to advance the role of pharmacy in improving patient outcomes and to empower the workforce to lead within an evolving healthcare landscape. 

From her early clinical work in diabetes and renal medicine to her current system-level leadership roles, Sarah has consistently focused on delivering meaningful change, developing services that are not only clinically effective, but sustainable, inclusive, and responsive to population needs. She brings a unique perspective that bridges frontline care with strategic transformation, enabling her to influence both practice and policy. 

Sarah is deeply passionate about people, developing talent, creating opportunities, and supporting pharmacists to realise their full potential as clinicians and leaders. Her work in education and training reflects a commitment to excellence, ensuring the next generation of pharmacists are equipped with the skills, confidence, and adaptability required for the future.
