
Kellie King
Kellie is a Senior Educator in the Foundation Training Year Team for Public Services Delivery Scotland, supporting the development and delivery of the national training and assessment programme for trainee pharmacists. With independent prescribing now part of foundation training, she’s proud to be supporting and developing future pharmacists at such a pivotal time for the profession.
In 2025, Kellie completed the Scottish Pharmacy Clinical Leadership Fellowship with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, where she updated the Women’s Health Position Statement and advocated for expanded pharmacist expertise in this area. She holds a regulatory role with the General Pharmaceutical Council and previously served as a question writer for the Common Registration Assessment.
After graduating from Brighton University, Kellie completed her pre-registration year in Glasgow and gained experience in community pharmacy before moving into roles with NHS Lanarkshire and NHS24, where she qualified as an Independent Prescriber through Robert Gordon University.
Kellie has been a Commonwealth Games pharmacist on two occasions and recently completed the International Olympic Committee’s Certificate in Drugs in Sport, focusing on the safe, ethical, and compliant use of medicines in sport and anti-doping regulations.
As a council member, Kellie is passionate about highlighting excellent and innovative practice and helping advance the future of pharmacy in Scotland and beyond.
