Joseph Williams

Joseph is the Education and Training Lead and Specialist Cancer Pharmacist at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, with advanced clinical and research expertise in colorectal cancer and care‑closer‑to‑home models. An independent prescriber within the colorectal cancer speciality, he leads patient‑facing services and drives applied health research to improve outcomes and service delivery. Joseph is also an Honorary Clinical Lecturer in the Division of Pharmacy & Optometry at the University of Manchester, where he teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate cancer programmes. 

His national and international leadership includes serving as Chair of the British Oncology Pharmacy Association (BOPA) from 2022 to 2025, election to the UK SACT Board (including Co‑Chair in 2025), membership of the UK Pharmacy Professional Leadership Advisory Board, Fellow of the Royal College of Pharmacy and election as Vice Chair of the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners (ISOPP) Education Committee from 2025. He is deeply committed to advancing excellence in pharmacy through education, research, and innovation.
