Jill Swan

Following completion of her pre-registration training year at the Western Infirmary in Glasgow, Jill relocated to London to undertake a Resident Pharmacist post at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT). She then completed several clinical rotations within GSTT before taking up a senior clinical pharmacist post at University College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, focusing on the specialty of HIV and Sexual Health. 

Having fostered an enthusiasm for this specialty, Jill was delighted to take up a similar position within Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust and at this time completed the MSc. in Clinical Pharmacy Practice at UCL. She then progressed to the position of Lead Pharmacist for HIV and Sexual Health and was honoured to be part of a team which strove to develop and progress services for people living with HIV within London. 

In 2015, Jill relocated back to Scotland and commenced the role of Principal Pharmacist Clinical Services at University Hospital Crosshouse, NHS Ayrshire & Arran and completed her independent prescribing qualification shortly after.  During this time Jill completed the Scottish Pharmacy Clinical Leadership Fellowship and undertook focused work within pharmacogenomics where she has supported a number ofworkstreams bringing this to ‘life’ in clinical practice.  In January 2026 Jill took up the post of Director of Pharmacy at NHS Golden Jubilee where her priority is to ensure pharmacy services continue to support the very best outcomes for patients.
