The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) is pleased to announce that Liz Hallett has been elected as the interim Chair of the Welsh Pharmacy Board. Liz will serve until the inaugural elections to the three National Pharmacy Advisory Councils in March 2026. Following those elections, a new Council Chair for the Welsh Pharmacy Advisory Council will be elected by Council members. The inaugural elections will form part of the new governance structure of the future Royal College of Pharmacy.

Liz will lead the Board in its work to champion the profession, support members, and advance pharmacy in Wales until the new Welsh Pharmacy Advisory Council elects its Chair.

This election follows the appointment of the former Chair of the Welsh Pharmacy Board, Geraldine McCaffrey, as RPS Director for Wales.
