Using the new Royal College of Pharmacy website
The launch of the new Royal College of Pharmacy website on 15 April 2026 represents an important step in the digital evolution of the organisation.
The project began eighteen months ago, with the past five months dedicated to building our new open-source site. The new website will provide us with flexibility and scope for continued development based on the evolving needs of our members.
We know that the new website represents a major change from the one you are familiar with, but we are confident that the new features we have introduce will help to improve your experience. To ensure that you remain up to date with our latest content and to get you started with building your personalised experience, this article outlines the new functionality and guides you through the new website.
Logging in
We have made logging in as a member of the Royal College of Pharmacy easier. All you need to do is click on the ‘Log in’ button at the top right-hand side of each page (see Figure 1).

The first time you sign in as a member, you will need to reset your password before logging in to the new website. You can easily do this by clicking on ‘Log in’, entering your email address and clicking in the ‘Reset password’ link. An activation code will be sent to the mail address provided. Please enter the activation code and then create your new password.
Navigation
Information from our site statistics and user feedback told us that users found it difficult to locate content. So, we took the opportunity to show our content in a new and more intuitive way, including a personalised feed for members (which can be found under My account, My feed) and displaying related articles against content. Users can still navigate easily by using the main navigation items: ‘About us’, ‘For the public’, ‘Policy and advocacy’, ‘Practice and guidance’, Learning and credentialing’ and ‘Membership’.

Content
More than 1,000 pieces of content are available on the new website. All the content has been reviewed and .
Search
At the top of every page is a search box. Enter your search word or term into this box and click on the magnifying glass or press the enter key on your keyboard. This will return a list of results for your term, with the most relevant articles at the top. (see Figure 3).
The left-hand side of the results page contains a list of filters. If you wish to filter the results by a specialism, pick the relevant option and click on ‘Apply’ at the bottom of the list. Your search results will then update to show only those articles that match your search criteria. You can also further filter results by subject (e.g. ‘Medicines shortages’ or ‘Prescribing’) location and type (e.g. ‘News’ or ‘Professional standards’)

Personalisation
One of the important aims of the new site will be to show you content that is of relevance to you. If you wish, you can select multiple specialisms in your account, and these will be used to show tailored content that matches your specific interests, career stage and location.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the site and its functionality. You can contact us at [email protected] or click on the ‘Feedback’ tab on the right-hand side of the page and select to either provide specific feedback on the page or general site feedback.
